I got my start in digital marketing by teaching myself search engine optimization and applying what I learned at InsureMe, an insurance lead generation company. After a year of executing the strategies I was learning we started having some success, and that success grew exponentially each year.
Some personal highlights from optimizing websites over the years include:
- Achieved lasting top 3 rankings in both B-to-C and B-to-B verticals in highly competitive markets such as insurance, real estate and IT services.
- Lead the optimization of a multi-million page international real estate search engine in 15 languages (I didn’t speak 14 of them) and was able to increase organic search traffic 190% in six months.
- Built a process to quickly optimize and rank 700 hundred geographically targeted IT service websites in a short time and achieved first-page rankings for a majority of the websites.
